Hello there and welcome to Will Write For Cake. My name is Mr Uku and I’m a freelance writer.

Based in the UK, I came quite late to the freelance party, but I’m making up for it. At the moment I earn my money from writing blog posts, but hope to expand on this and become a fully rounded writer before Christmas. I’ve got a few kids books planned and I’ll be pitching article ideas to magazines in the near future. I’m also peddling myself as a writer for hire to all and sundry.

When I’m not writing, I enjoy playing my ukulele, wearing various hats, eating, drinking coffee and bird watching. I also enjoy sleeping and watching an inordinate amount of TV.

On  Will Write For Cake, I hope to create a community for new writers and those thinking about giving it a try. Starting out as a freelance can be hard in the beginning and having the support of your peers is vital. I look forward to making many new friends here and sharing the highs and lows of my career with you all.
